It was Mother’s Day, so surely I’d organised a day of relaxation for my lovely wife. Or at the very least, organised a day out for the family. Alas no, and the Peters resorted to last minute planning. After “discussion”, Coolings nature trail was chosen, a charming walk in the Kent country side. Thoroughly recommended for the over 2s with bundles of energy!
It wouldn’t be Christmas without a cheeky mulled wine at an xmas market. The Southbank Christmas Market is always a great visit, with a huge choice of food and warming spirits. There was a little train track this year that our three year old loved (but wasn’t quite long enough to justify the expense!). We ended up sipping mulled cider in a little cider house, which doubled as a perfect place to sit and feed two little kids.
Coolings nature trail is our go to place for an escape from the house. It’s always good for a short walk, ending with lunch in the Cafe. There’s animals for the kids to feed, but the real fun is had in the little houses and tree tunnel. The crisp winter air made of for a cold but enjoyable walk, and the shop provided an opportunity to buy a few stocking fillers.
