Extreme scooting
I normally spend more time reading about tech (or buying) than actually using it. So every now and again, I like to make do with the bare essentials, particularly when it comes to video. It reminds me that it’s not the tech that I enjoy, but filming and editing. And more often that not, you have fun instead of stressing over what lens to use, or that your steadicam isn’t quite balanced. And that’s important when you want to capture your kids having fun!
So rather than lug around a bag full of camera gear. I just took my phone out to film in the park. Nothing fancy, I just want to record my 3 year old scooting (she’s finally got the hang of it). Now I’m not saying it’s a master piece, but for it does show you can make do with what you have. Of course, I’ll still spend hours drooling over new camera gear and thousands on equipment (after all, the more you buy, the better you are ;-)).
